Biography

I was born in 1977 in Athens, Greece to a Greek father and an Irish mother. I grew up on seafood, fruit, ice lollies and lots of sunshine in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I have lots and lots of good memories of my childhood days.
I was five when I was given a mini keyboard for my birthday. That was my first taste of music, and I was hooked! When I was seven my parents had no choice but to send me to piano lessons, which I loved. It wasn’t long before I started making up my own tunes on the piano.
When I was thirteen we moved to Dublin, Ireland, where my mother was from. I settled in and made new friends quickly, and by the end of our first year there I had a full-blown Irish accent too! Dublin is the friendliest, warmest and fun city to live in and I loved it!
I took up guitar when I moved to Dublin, and at this point I started writing songs, with lyrics. It was something that came easily to me, but I never really thought of it as something I should consider as a career. When I was eighteen I applied to Trinity College Dublin to do a business degree. It seemed the sensible thing to do. I got a place in the College, but deferred it for a year so that I could do some travelling first.
Little did I know quite how much travelling I was about to do!
It was during this ‘year off’ that I met three girls at a dance class centre I used to go too. Their names were Keavy, Edele and Sinead, and they were forming a band and looking for a fourth member. We were introduced by a mutual friend and not long after, they asked me if I could sing and dance. It just so happened that I could and before I knew it we were a band.
We went through three band names before settling on the name that would later become famous: B*witched.
We became the first girlband to have their first four singles go in at number one in the charts. ‘C’est La Vie’ was the first single and it was a massive hit all over the world. We went to Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, South Africa, Europe, and the U.S.A. We ‘broke’ the States which was an achievement in itself as not many artists from this side of the ocean have been able to do this. We co-wrote most of the songs on both of our albums. We toured the U.S.A five times and had some of our best times on these tours. We toured with ‘Nsync, Britney Spears, 98 degrees, LFO, and many others. One of the highlights of our career was our U.K. and Ireland tour, which was our very own tour. We put our hearts and soul into that tour.
In the space of four years we had come from Dublin city and sold 10 million records around the world. Needless to say, I never did go back to do that business degree!
In summer of 2001 we decided to end the band. Our record company had undergone some changes and didn’t want to go ahead with the third album. We decided we should go out on top, and we all had things we wanted to do individually.
I got straight into writing songs again, and it wasn’t long before I had my own studio at home. It took a while to learn my way around all the equipment, but eventually got the hang of it and was able to demo my songs.
I’ve been writing ever since, both for my album and for other projects, and have been on a creative journey over the years. I feel I’ve learnt so much, and experienced a lot and I try to write and sing about things that are real to me. Nowadays my music is emotive and heartfelt.

….. ‘ If everything was just safe, we’d never grow, never learn…real love’…
